Tokenization oracles can support information flows before issuance, during ongoing reporting and through redemption or retirement. Each stage asks a different question. A price feed alone does not describe the complete lifecycle of an asset representation.
Draw the intended workflow and identify the evidence required for each transition. Keep data publication separate from the authority to act on it. A valid report does not necessarily authorize the creation or retirement of units.
For a conceptual issuance workflow, connect an approved report to the intended instrument, amount, request and expiry. Prevent reuse of the same authorization in unintended contexts. Preserve the relationship between the represented units and the underlying records.
Reserve-related and asset-data interfaces provide possible inputs; the SmartData reference identifies documented examples. Consumer accounting, governance and instrument-specific rights remain separate responsibilities.
A redemption request is not the same as completed offchain delivery. Use pending, processing, completed and exceptional states as required by the actual workflow. Bind a completion report to the correct request and prevent duplicate effects.
Plan for partial completion, cancellation and late reports. A blockchain transaction can establish that a request was recorded without establishing that every external obligation has been fulfilled.
Use stable identifiers for instruments, reports, requests and completed actions. Define authoritative records and correction procedures for each stage. A replaced statement may still be necessary to explain an earlier decision.
